Religion and Faith

With one notable exception, the Islands of Raeluna do not have much in the way of wide-spread organized religion or catechism. Those with connections to divine powers know that their abilities come from somewhere, but everyone experiences their connection differently. There has never been any real attempt to amass followers or worshipers. Other than not participating in "evil" acts, clerics (and the occasional paladin) seem to set their own path. Conclaves of such people have failed to find any common desires or dictates from their divine inspirations. Indeed, the largest theological schism among those who follow such things is between religionists who feel that everyone's god is singular, and religionists who feel that there is but one god (or a small number of gods) whom everyone experiences differently.

One universal faith among the disparate cultures of humanity is a reverence for the Ancient Race, and a healthy respect for their former achievements and glory. This "faith" is more of a shared feeling than any organized institution, and is "practiced" in dozens of small ways.

Some disparate groups of divinely inspired individuals have banded together, but these fraternities are primarily interested in setting common prices for healings and other "charitable" services.

The singular exception is on the Island of Zelix, where the people and priests worship the strange guardian of the Rainbow Gate as a god.
